My bad impression with Newar of Kathmandu valley is that these stupid Newar think only the valley is Nepal and all the other people outside valley are Pakhe and they do not know how pakhe are themselves.

We moved into kathmandu valley from sindhupalchok when I'm one yr old. My parents are very thankful for newars because outside of ktm nepal doesn't have anything to represent as a nepal. For eg all the tourists come to nepal to see art, culture and heritage. All of us know that nepal's main source of income is tourism.Besides ktm and patan we have nothingt to represent which were made in Lichibi. Since then Nepal hasnot done anything in rana nor in Shah. My parents moved in ktm for better life and they say this all the time if we donot move from sindhupalchok, I would not in US because US embassy is in KTM. They told me that Nepal is know as independent country because late king Mahendra went to UN to represent nepal as independent country but it was rejected for the 1st time because nepal use the same language and numbers as India which is gererated from sans. Mahendra later went to UN and got independent country by showing newari language and numbers. Since I grew up in ktm I've lots of newar friends and I know how to speak their language also. I 've a lots of respect to them and their cultures and arts. They treat guest very well. I' mean by their hearts. They are good people.

A Brahmin Story
Author: Unknown

Lord Buddha was sitting under a banyan tree. One day, a furious Brahmin came to him and started abusing him.

The Brahmin thought that Buddha would reciprocate in the same manner, but to his utter surprise, there was not the slightest change in the expression on his face.

Now, the Brahmin became more furious. He hurled more and more abuses at Buddha. However, Buddha was completely unmoved. Actually there was a look of compassion on his face.

Ultimately the Brahmin was tired of abusing him. He asked, "I have been abusing you like anything, but why are you not angry at all ?"

Lord Buddha calmly replied, "My dear brother, I have not accepted a single abuse from you."

"But you heard all of them, didn't you?" The Brahmin argued half-heartedly.

Buddha said, "I do not need the abuses, so why should I even hear them?"

Now the Brahmin was even more puzzled. He could not understand the calm reply from Buddha.

Looking at his disturbed face, Buddha further explained, "All those abuses remain with you."

"It cannot be possible. I have hurled all of them at you," the Brahmin persisted.

Buddha calmly repeated his reply, "But I have not accepted even a single abuse from you ! Dear brother, suppose you give some coins to somebody, and if he does not accept them, with whom will those coins remain?"

The Brahmin replied, "If I have given the coins and not needed by someone, then naturally they would remain with me."

With a meaningful smile on his face, Buddha said, "Now you are right. The same has happened with your abuses. You came here and hurled abuses at me, but I have not accepted a single abuse from you. Hence, all those abuses remain with you only. So there is no reason to be angry with you."

The Brahmin remained speechless. He was ashamed of his behavior and begged for Buddha's forgiveness.

Inner calmness and peace are keys to contented life.
