Guys I am in serious need of advice. So I applied for citizenship and they took my green card. Myannn!!! Like are you kidding me? I don't want to lose the benefit of green card. Do you guys know a good lawyer who can help me get my green card back. Also, I want to get in some of that TPS action. Citizenship bhako lai yo tps le k k subidha dincha bhandinu paryo! If I were u, I'd hire a lawyer right away to get the GC back. I'd also apply for TPS. Just think about the combined benefits of citizenship, GC, and TPS together. You can do wonders

You can go and rob a bank, then they will take away your citizenship and green card. That will leave you the only option; apply for TPS. Deadline for TPS is coming soon, so hurry.

Wait a minute. First you applied for the Citizenship, then worry about green card being taken?
Once you applied for the citizenship, they will take your green card (on the day of interview: assuming you have the interview). It is just the normal process. Second, if you have applied for the citizenship, why should you worry for TPS? It did not make any sense to me.

@Khumbule Thanks for the reply. You seem like a genuinely nice person and smart guy. Others don't seem to understand my situation. You see what happened was, they didn't take the green card during the interview. They took it at the check in counter before the oath. Sneaky people, I tell you! Had they tried to take my green card during interview, I would have been like I know my rights. I want a lawyer and a refund, you know. They trapped me in public. I was helpless. Anyone else been through this situation?
