i just graduated associates and now its my major classes all the way round. i looked around my class and did not see any nepali or may be i will see few along the way.( not that i am complaning)  BUT that was strange cos i am so used to seeing at least 3-4 nepalis  in the class. so i asked people what they were taking for major. one out of two is either taking nursing or business/ finance. just curious how many of us are taking wide variety of subjects and why?I for one am taking sociology - human services and drug abuse. mainly because last time i went to nepal... i visited a rehabilitaion center. the boys there were complaning that all the rehabilitation is centered on them and the girl addicts are being ignored because their parents dont want to expose them to the society. i thought about it and thought it was a good idea to study about this. AND yes i was studying finance before i switched to sociology. 

I am also thinking to switch but ain't go one inch beyond life sciences. My goal is to start a laboratory in Nepal with collaboration with Electrical Engineers. But, I don't know yet, how will I manage to buy some equipments.

The engineer that I need for future should have practical hands in Patch clamp, voltage clamp etc

i am taking nursing. its just because we might get greencard after we finish our studies. I always thought about taking criminal justice . But dont know if carrer options exsist or i might just be lookin for job for years in this bad economy. Yes i do plan to go back to nepal after a certain time but then if these conditions exsist then its safe to find a way to come back.
