Do you think POLITICAL CHANGE is solution for Nepal? Or Why not? My opinion. I do not think political change only solution for Nepal. Political change only works or become effective toward positive change when majority people change their mentality, behavior, personality and action. In Nepal, Nepalese have key problem with corrupt, criminal, moral-less, stupid, uncivilized, irresponsible, selfish, uneducated Nepali Government Officials, Political Leaders and people. Therefore, only political change is just a changing store name like yesterday was ?Girija dai ko bhojanalaya? and today is ?Girija dai ko taja momo dukan?. Here is change of store name but crook owner is same. It is just waste of time for Nepalese people in their political systems.

I think that King is doing well done but I do not trust Paras prince. We have to elect intellectual professors as Prime-minister and Ministers from Tribhuvan University. Not all of them, but most of them have well education, morality, responsible and value of society as well as country. They have the best brain so they can learn quickly and take action quickly. They are not like Conservatives and Oldies from Banaras, India. What do you think?

I agree with you. But Education does not count fully. Good education helps you or prepare you to make understand problems quickly and give you power to think correctly in short time. Uneducated people will take long time and sometimes will do get clue of the problem and solution. But it DOES NOT MEAN that educated people always good people or will be majority good people. That is wrong. Nepal need good or the best people by morally, responsible, trustworthy, patriot, wise or good decision maker, good listener, leadership, hardworking and can do positive attitude.

We need TRUE Political and Governmental change in Nepal. But New political and government must truly take action and apply true democracy, law, order, rule and regulations. Old political Leaders and thinker must go or kill. Or they must resign from any political movements. These people are major problems of Nepal and Nepalese. New well educated, knowledgeable, visionary, responsible, trustworthy and respectable people must rule or lead Nepal and Nepalese. We can not keep our country and situation this way for next decade or century. We can not save our country this way. Forget other things if not.

In Nepal, Crimes and Corruption MUST END from Nepali government Officies or government officials hand. Then from private sectors. Whether we must kill, hang, shot or life time jail to corrupted criminals. It has to be done. NO MATTER WHAT, CRIMES AND CORRUPTION MUST BE END. Only then, we (Nepalese) can move on for better future.

What kind of changes are we talking about in the first place? Are we talking about multiparty system? Are we talking about one party system? Are we talking about constituional monarchy or are we talking about dictatorship? There is no one who can tell this specific system is good or bad for Nepal. One can say such and such system is good for Nepal because history witnessed it fruitful in such and such country. OR, one can say certain system is bad for Nepal because it was proved disaster in certain country. Even the best political analyst cannot tell you which system is good for the future of Nepal. It is like driving a car. You buy the best, the safest car, drive it on the best road of the world and follow the rules carefully, and yet, you stumble into trouble. No one is God. No one can predict what could happen. Coming back to your original question: Do you think political change is solution for Nepal? I don't think so, because haven't we seen thousands of political changes in the country since the 1990? If you don't have the stable Government, you will have political changes. Too many political changes in short period is not good for the country, and Nepal is one of the best examples of that. All we needed was stability, and all we need is stability in the political scene. Now, the question is, how do we get stable government? Well, I don't know. I am not expert in that matter, but one thing I can tell is that, we lack true leader -- A strong leader who is willing to give his best to create that stability in the country. We definitely lack such leader. The matter of fact is there is no apparent politician who possesses such quality to be a leader. We cannot count on the politicians who became our leaders and failed miserably. They were given a chance and the chance had been wasted. We cannot count on the king and his son because they have darker image than Bagmati River. Therefore, until the day such strong leader emerges on the scene, we will be asking the same question -- What change do us good?

Yes, it is true. To create good leadership in Nepal. We should create new constitution, law, order, rule and regulation that are a new process, system of election and nomination as well as applicants of election. Person who apply for prime-minister, minister or parliament members must requires like following points: (1) Applicant for nomination must be 100% Nepali born by Nepali blood. 2nd class citizenship must not allow. (2) Age must be considered of limitation. Like after age 57 can not apply. (3) One can elect only maximum 2 terms, than what so ever he/she CAN NOT apply for nomination/election. (4) At least must have formal bachelor degree from major universities. (5) At least must have formal some education in Political science, Economic, Business, Law and Leadership. (6) Applicant must be clean from back ground record of national crimes and corruption records. (7) Applicant must have some years of experiences in leadership/commanding, social, human rights, political, managerial etc. (8) What so ever, No one allow to pop-up and apply for prime-ministers, minister and parliament memberships. (9) Any political parties must have at least 100 formally well educated leaders in their front line.

I agree with you. Why do not we implement, all Nepalese under 23 must contribute 3 years in Nepal Army. They will earn education and purify their all bad habits. They will learn whatever good citizen supposes to learn in Army. So they can be good future leaders of Nepal. And, Nepal Army build Road, Bridge, School, Hospital, Communication, water dam, hydro-electricity, transportation, building, irrigation, forester, Bio-tech agriculture, border security etc. So Nepal Army might do at least corruption-less and crime-less, or at least take action in country developments.

To: topheroni3, I agree with you. Yes, it is true. King must pick good and brilliant Nepalese people from Universities and Nepal Army. And he must change constitution, law, order, rule and regulation. Finally, he must implement very strictly new constitution, law, order, rule and regulation. This action may clean up more than 50% problem of Nepal.

Political change is NOT solution regarding problems of Nepal. Key points is: Current Political Leaders proved themselves uneducated, moral-less, stupid, corrupt and criminals. No matter what and What so ever, These people are not qualified for New Democrcy Political System in any corner of the world. These people turn Nepal into Africa. Final and the best solution would be: King or Nepali government or Nepali people must change Leadership and 95% all current political leaders must hands off from political career and business. Otherwise, They all must get kill for good. At first, This sound is very rude and cruel but this must be happen in Nepal 2nd time.

How could you consider yourself educated if you are suggesting other people to be slave of king? With political leaders you could vote out if you can?t vote them out still u can protest against them but what can you do when king goes and buy plan for himself with people money??.criticizing political leaders is not big deal. If you have guts then ask your king to investigate about his son who already killed two people one was taxi driver and other was signer

I do not think so political change only support solution. Leadership must be changed. Girija, Dueba and other Ex-pachey crooks and criminals politicians and political members must be jail or assasination for good for all for country. According to 6 decades record, No other option or No other way. It is sound aggresive but this is reality and truth. What do you think?

It's interesting discussion. I do not think that majority of people (who are educated) are willing to return back to country. They feel that they will be unemployed and isolated, if they used to speak truth and try to work honestly. This is true. Despite this, if people return there and struggle for some years with good intention. There will be a drastical change in society. It may take one decade or less. It does not mean that we have to apply there American or Europian system. We have to proceed according to the need of country. Nepalese lack self confidence. There is a habit of dependency (dependent on others) in our society. Some religious matters are also obstructing our development efforts. We voted leaders, we generated them. ........................

Dear mayaluketi, a political change doesn't mean anything, if it fails to deliver aspirations of people. Just creating another political system is not a measure of success.
