Sorry if i had hurt some of your feelings. I was new to Sajha, so Naya jogi le dheri kharani....... so I may be little bit more critical..... regret for this. But my opinions are also based on facts given below. Facts dont need arguments. I had also stayed outside of Nepal for 10 years, so i myself know what dalbhat and gundruk means for Nepali living outside. One of my friend just returned to Kathmandu after staying 5 years in US. He told me that almost 70 % of nepali children in US are either gays or lesbians. This terrifies me. You might say that its their decision. My friend also said that all those singers and cinema actors who left nepal are working as "managers in indian restaurant" doing all sorts of stuff. Thats fine. It is also their decision. But why these celebrities when they come to Nepal, hide this truth? Why these celebraties dont openly accept they clean indian restaurant in Wisconsin? Izzat jane dar-le ho ki???? No person should be discrinimated based on his occupation. But what is needed is transparency, values, and openness to tell the truth before the Media here in Nepal. But you guys need to be transparent on these issues. Have any one of you communicated these issues in the Sajha forum before??? Why you dont inform the real situation of Nepalies in US? When you try to hide reality, then comes frustration. I am myself an admirer of the people of USA. It is because of you, many families are fed. Great well done. So My advice is: Be transparent, speak the truth. I want to hear the truth face to face. From the one side you talk about Janani Janmabhoomischa..., on the other side you practice fake marriage to get Ferenghi Visa. And also blame Hulaki "a visa rejected frustated dude"! Hulaki Never applied for US visa, not a single time. And is not willing to pay 10-14 lakhs to buy it either. What I see in you guys is that you are suffering from identity crisis. In Nepal, you feel like amricans, in America you are treated as second class citizens. You are hired last and fired first how big professor you may be. Hoina Ra??? So lets discuss these issues in Sajha. May be a consensus can be reached. Because your problems are our nations problems, our nations problems are your problems. Put your cards on the table. But dont hide them, Happy Lochar, Happy new year!!!!!!!!! Hulaki PS could not read fonts of dada gir and sarala. Sorry!!!!!!!! Take care!!!!

TD why dont you organise stargazer club and/or star parties down there? Just an out of the Box idea. Otherwise, our Gurkhe kids remain as they are...... they will never grow.... Its a shame for Nepali kids to remain astro-illeterate (as seen from some of the postings above) in a country which has championed the exploration of outer space!!!!!! Jus think bout it............

Hulaki dai, when did you friend take a survey to conclude that almost 70 % kids are gays and lesbians in the usa.. hahahaha you're funny.. you lost your grip.. who told you that you have to spend 14-15 lakhs to come over here. as far as i remember i spent like less than 3 lakhs including the ticket fair.. you liarrr.. hahahaha and you said you have never been to the usa, b ut how can you say that every nepali work in indian restaurant.. have you seen rich Nepalis in the usa who are rich enough to have indians and Americans work under or for them... of course not cuz you never applied for the US visa cuz you didn't have that "imaginary 15-15 lakah" hahaha man, i think you've been hanging (associating) with a wrong crowd.. and too much time on that chiya pasal talking about bullS think is not helping you at all... cuz all they're doing is giving you wrong impression about right things.. lot of Nepali have come to the usa and achieved academic acoomplisments, financial security and emotionality stability.. i run into those people every day during my life in this foreign land.. where did you live for 10 years.. was it India?? if you had lived in some western country then you would learn to mind your own business and learn to respect toilet cleaners too.. and sir, If a celebrety is cleaning toilet in the usa then shame to you.. your celebrety is soo poorrr, that he/she has to clean toilet in the usa.. do you want to bring that to public? do you want to post her/his pics on teh sajha , and that will make you feel proud?? you're one sick person hahahahahahahahah all those goodie goodie pics of kids of telescope , i was thinking you're one intellegent - desh bhakta person.. but now i'm convinience - heck more than convinienced that you're one stupid person, and yes frustrated too, who bases his arguments on false stories told by people and builds his castel on assumptions... grow up sir.. grow up... hajur ko bhakta... dyamnnn

---> daymn, you nailed him with your two postings. LoL... Hulaki dai, Transperancy? What's that? Stop being nosy. You might want the transperencies from public figure. Go ahead and do it. But, if you expect same from some common people like me, then I don't mind tellin' you "It's none of your fkin' business". There is something called privacy. I have every right NOT to tell you the truth, unless ure some kind of authority. So, even if I lied to you, which I don't do for your future reference, you have to take it as truth and stay mum about it. If you can't comprehend the things I am sayin' , then let me give you an example: If I ate dhido last night and I tell you I ate Basmati Rice yesterday, I know I am lying, and probably you also know that I am lying, but you have to take it as truth because as far as you don't buy my dhido ko peetho, whatever I ate and whatever I said I ate is none of anyones business. In the same way, if you ask me how the Nepali people in US doing, I tell you they are doing fine, working for big firms, working hard, making lots of money, vacationing 3 months a year... It might be true, it might not be true. But if you think it was not true and you go to the forum board and post "all nepalese in US work in the toilet" thinking my statement was false, then things become stupid. What is the next thing you gonna ask me in the name of the truth, number of the page of kamasutra that I used last night? If you care so much about the truth, let me tell you one truth. You might know Nepalese are considered one of the hard workers in a foreign land. But in Nepal, you can see them wasting their time, playing carrom, gazing stars, throwing stones. How do I know about it? Well, I've been there and I've done that. Do you know why we waste so much time in Nepal doing nothing? It's because of people like you, whose only intention is to demoralize fellow Nepalese from working. It's only because of people like you who laugh at other Nepalese when they are doing some small things. People like you have created this kind of atmosphere that everyone wants to do BIG things or do nothing. You are oceans apart, and yet you are laughing at other Nepalese and demoralizing them for cleaning the toilet. Just imagine what you'd do if they were cleaning toilets in Nepal? Forget about cleaning bagmati which is a final destination for many toilets. You'd go nuts laughing out loud if you see us cleaning someone elses toilet. Not a single person living in US ever laughs if somebody says he is cleaning the toilet. So that is the truth. I love my country. I love to sing "malai pyaro lagcha, malai ramro lagcha -- lahara pahara chahara le bhariyeko desh" song. But, I don't like people like you who try to demoralize others, who care more about others business than thier own. So when I sing "janani janma bhoomischa" and end up marrying khurini, that is because I love my country but I don't wanna go back there and I end up struggling here in US to get greencard and citizenship because my country is great, nothing is wrong about it, but there are certain kind of people who I just cannot stand -- certain people like you. Either one has to go back and eliminate those kinds of people or just stay mum about it and avoid it. I chose the latter one. My life, my choice. Bhandai ma ni mero dui sabdha yahi tungyaauchu... :D

Hulaki what is point of showing some picture of telescope and saying that you have done something for the country... does the showing the picture of stars are doing something.. and the way you were holding the kid it surely seems that you are afraid that he will get hold of your telescope.. I swear that must have cost you alot . and by taking the picture of those kids with telescope and coming here to prove that you are doing something I will term you as idiot. Only idiot comes with prove when no one asks. Your putting picture infront to show your work is mere dirty mind that you have. Infact you are exploiting those innocent children. How can we know that you didn`t just gather those kids just for the click. And moneyminded bro, nice to see you alive and kicking. But what the hell does your picture proves here. And its not the how fluent you speak english it counts, its the deed bro... beside language are just for communication who needs aussies accent!!. Hulaki work for giving dignity ( I am taking your word) but not to get cheap applause. Beside to the people who thinks that they are rich, most edcuated, powerful everything.. at the end nothing values...everything falls apart... no matter whether we are green or blue we will end up at the same place so keep peace!!!

I took these photos and the person holding the child might be the school teacher where we conducted moon observation. We encouraged the children not touch the eye piece, cuz if the telescope moves, then you may loose the field of sight, ie lose the celestial object being targetted..... This is the science of Telescopes.... And you ... green horns, when will you grow to understand these issues ?????? Bigyan ko shikhar ma pugeko muluk ma basera esto prashna sodhna Laaaz Lagdaina ?? My advice to you all..... stop runnig after fulush (ie money in arabic) 24 hours a day and join a local astro club there instead ..... or just buy a six inch Dobsonian lightbucket and organise observation yourself......(Consult TestDirector for details)...... Show to Amricans that Nepalese are gentlemen, show them that Nepricans just dont get lost in day to day earthly problems, but also have a vision to reach the stars.... And when this happens, I will be most proud of you. My sons! Hulaki Uncle.

Really Mr. Hulaki, such shrivaled thoughts by one so educated and well-travelled as yourself. Had you stopped to think for one moment, you would have in your sweeping generalizations on Nepalis abroad, found that citing/believing one source (an aquaintance, friend, if you will) to paint the diaspora with one broad brush reduces your credibility regarding your critical thinking abilities. I would allow you some rope if you had cited a sociological, statistical data supporting your generalizations. * First, had you lived in USA, you would have a picture of what Nepalis really do out here in the US. Since you blatantly confess, you have not even attempted to visit USA let alone lived here, and ofcourse since you choose to believe your limited sources, I would think your gullibilty far outstretches your imaginations. I am sure, your "friend" is having a field day at your expense. An astro-whatever as you claim to be believing a sensationalist TV interview, my, I dread to imagine what you must be teaching those poor children with your telescope. * Amazing isn't it that you are unaware there is dignity in labour here. The smart ones, wash dishes, work in gas stations, cook... earn money, go to college and land a big job/earn a living. And since you seem to be ignorant of this fact, American teens do the same, finish their college to pursue a career in whatever they desire to. And then there are others who don't do any of the above menial labor, get a scholarship and finish their degrees. I wonder why you have not heard of Nepali journalists, scientists, teachers, business-men, job holders who live and thrive in US. Is your social circle so limited and your access to credible information so poor that you have to rely on hearsay? Ah, my sympathies sir, you are surely killing your brain cells. Can such one dimensional thinking accomodate the space and the stars, I wonder! Or is astro knowledge is as selected and one dimensional? * Perhaps, you can transfer your astro knowledge here: Just because your limited telescope does not view IT, IT does not exist. If it is applicable in space information, can it be applicable in your ignorance of the US? OR, Do you assume, sir that just because you don't see the Orion Nebula, through your telescope, it does not exist! Come now, sir, you go into painstaking lengths about your scientic knowledge/interest/background and then proceed to display utter naivete! Do I detect a black hole in your critical thinking abilities or is it just plain wishful thinking on your part?

Hulaki Ji, You talk this much just because you own a small portable telescope; imagine what will you be doing if you had access to a satellite? I found silly humor in your suggestion for "Nepricans" for space exploration and what not. Well, you've never been here, so you won't know. Astronomy is something they teach in the school here, and most of the schools have their own observatory from where you can see not only moon but as far distance as Saturn, Uranus, and count all four moons of Jupiter. I have news for you. There are probably few more Nepalese like me here who has access to the Satellite, and we see so many cosmic scenes than you'll ever see, but every once in a while, when we get chance, we look at Nepal from space, thinking there?s my home country. Hulaki ji, if you want to provoke "Nepricans", do it will right tools not that small telescope. As said earlier, I admire you Swavimani thoughts, but now it looks like it isn't even about Swavimani. You simply have disturbed agenda with the US, like Maoist, Islamist, and other extremist groups. Your words are oozing with hates and misunderstandings.

Namaste to every one! Yes, It is interesting topic. I hate myself being rude cuz I have to disappoint to hulaki ji and to uneducated people who deadly talk about caste. We live in 21st century, how come you still talk like tapare! It seems like tapare means to you "the Bahamian," you are a piece of shit. Moreover, you yourselves talk the tapare way. We Brahmins don't want to get respect as higher caste or as the superior people than others. We want to see everybody similar. But, you still want to identify us as an educated and superb caste. I don't have any proudness even you said tapare to us cuz we see everyone is similar. Do you think tapare means very bad word, it is true that very rare people are capable to do that job, you need to learn the strongest language "Sanskrit," then you will know what it all about. AND, Hulaki ji, that is not your business to tell to people what they need to do. wherever they live or wherever they work or what ever they say, let them do. you don't even like those people, who talk about your personal tasks. think about, If someone asks you "why do you spend money to drink alcohol, why do you like smoking rather than feeding poor, why do you get married that pretty or ugly girl, or how do you do sex with your wife? And blab blab blaaa....... Of course, you don't like that type of questions, right? So what! working at restaurant or cleaning the toilet, as lone as you get paid and get satisfied from your profession, its OK. As you talked getting a US visa by paying 10-15 lake, it is ridiculous, we don't want those brokers who cheat poor Nepali to send here illegally. They are corrupted the same as politicians, and bureaucrats. You have to rise the question about bad things. people who come here via student visa or Dv lottery, you have to appreciate to them cuz they do some contributions to our homeland. Yes, it is hard for students to maintain both, study and work, but we need to believe that a leaf of grass is no less than the journey-work of the stars. Have to learn something to compute for good job, going to the US college is nice try to teach people who staying in Nepal for doing duty politic.

i think the real problem with us nepalese is that we try to demote our status in the society by talking crap about ourselves, in reality thats not true. thats why other people like dhotis try to look down upon us. I really cant stand those folks who are actually nepalese living in tarai, so they look like north indians. If they meet indians and are asked where they are from, they say they are from india. They think being called an Indian is so prestigious. For me, i see them as nothing but bunch of hairy loud trash. Sure India has developed a lot compared to nepal. but remember every country has its down time like america went through great depression in 20's, india also went through "raj" from britian.Someday will also come for nepal when everything will be alright. keep faith.
