Nepali dental professionals form NDPS

Nepali dental professionals living and working in the UK have formed the Nepali Dental Professional Society (NDPS), UK and held its first gathering at Wembley in west London on November 21. The society mostly consists of dental nurses.

Speaking in the program, Binodbikash Simkhada, one of the founders of the society, informed that there are over 80 Nepali dental professionals living and working in the UK.

According to the information given by the society, it would run oral health awareness campaign in Nepal shortly through their charity named 'Oral Health Nepal'. It would operate as an associate organisation of the society in Nepal. Dental camps and oral health awareness are the major sectors that will be covered by Oral Health Nepal, the society said.

The society also announced programmes like dental student support and job search in the UK. The society aims at assembling Nepali dental professionals and students in the UK to support each other and run various oral health programs in Nepal.
