my view is if democracy as you say was a failure (oh, i would debate that too) then it was our fault, your fault, my fault. and that cannot be corrected by another oppressive regime. that will only continue the problem.

We need to understand that we never got real democracy in Nepal. The so called king never was under the constitution of Nepal. We can't let this king to kill the system that we have so far which is on the process of real democracy.

We would have far better position in the world now if the King Mahendra would not have sacked democratically elected government 43 years ago. let's not let same thing happen again.

I am not supporting everything about what political leaders did in Nepal for last 14 years but King G and his associates are worst.

pearl, it is not utopia. liberal democracy is not a utopia. it is a very imperfect system because it gives rise to dissatisfactions. the great thing about democracy is that you can voice the dissatisfaction.

Definately the best and the only remaining alternative is to help the Maoist win the war against Royal Nepal Army so that Ganendra cant take away power of dismiss governments in the future by scaring off everyone by showing off his Armed Forces.

Well is there any political force or political party that has an armed forces that can significantly challange Royal Nepal Army therefore can persuade monarch to deal with people in more plain field?
