History will remember Girija as one of the unsuccessful leaders among others. Even in Girija's own words; interview given to BBC several months back, he was commenting about when he was in power "I had no idea what I was doing for several years .." and it continued.
The question is what will happen if he dies?? Nothing. The issue at hand is bigger than Girija now. It will certainly bring the new leadership in the Nepali Congress but the corrupt and confused culture he established will keep on fostering and the party will hang his picture in the wall and follow his ideals or I should say lack-of-ideals. Needless to say they are like bunch of sheep following the one right ahead of you. I do not expect change in the NC party once he dies. However the change will take place gradually. Gradually the Girijas and the like will be replaced with the new leaders but it will take time. The main issue I see here is not Girija himself but the culture he established which will keep haunting our nation even after he dies.
Will the king be happy?? I do not know. But if I had an opponent with Girija's stature I would rather have a dumb and a corrupt opponent than otherwise.
Girija's death will not bring any substantial change unlike your questions suggest.
About Loktantra, civil war and all that, it is like a chess game being played by the big and powerful. Until they think of another game plan for Nepal or another bigger player comes in the picture, the game plan it will not change.
Hence my 2 cents..

(5) True Nepalese people will be happy

(6) Indian politicians will cry and pissed off as well, because they will get Nepali nightmares

(7) Nepalese Corrupted Crooks people will do sucide

(8) Nepali Congress Party will have new leader from new generation which will make NC party much better, wiser and stronger

(9) More than 70% political and Criminal problems of Nepal will be solve automatically.

(10) Anything will be possible to Nepal and Nepalese.

one thing so impressive of mr. gp koirala is his commanding physical height, which none of his contemporaries have. he continues to show confidence and vigor like that of a youth, which at his age of 84 is something that must be noted. sure people may remember him for these two things, and also perhaps for being pm for the longest period (during recent democratic years), although he did not bring about any tangible changes during his tenures.
