Here is a message from Bidur Adhikari, trying to help the victims of earthquake in Pakistan.

Dear Friends,

Every one of us felt we need to do some contribution as per our capacity for the people of Pakistan affected by the Earth Quake.
For this noble cause we needed to act as early as possible to make reach our contribution as soon as possible. Hence , we had initiated a first fund raising meetin on 18th Oct. 2005 in Kathmandu. Our solemn request to every one to act as early and immediate.
To facilitate collection of cash we have opened a Joint account at Nepal Bangla Desh Bank, New Baneshore, Kathmandu. It will reduce our time of communication and in person meetion hassels out of our busy work schedules. Please send your contribution on the following account in this Bank. You can deposit from any of the NB Banks branches or send draft / MO/ fax order/ from out side . You shall automatically receive the receipt from the bank as you deposit cash or chq or in any form. All of yours contribution shall be finally circulated to all the persons as per the bank statement. You are also requested to send us email so that we can circulate the latest position of the fund collection and detail/ name of the contributers so that each one of you know the position of fund collection.

The account opening has been clearly stated for the purpose of collecting donation /cash from the contributers for the E.Q. victim people of Pakistan.

Bank:Nepal Bangla Desh Bank, New Baneshore, Kathmandu.
Name of the Account: Bidur & Bidya Adhikari

Since the name on the account is a person, how do we believe that the donation will go to the victims? Why don't you coordinate with redcross or something and have the send the donation in there, so that people can deposit the money without any hesitation?

Paakhey

here is Bidur Adhikary's email.
bidur@mos.com.np

make sure you write to him and send the money through Red Cross or whatever organization you are comfortable with ! Make sure you send some !

Bidur, on private note said, after collection, he will send everyone excel sheet of the donors, unless you don't want to reveal your self.

You have a valid question, whether you trust those people and recognize their effort is another question !

Regards
m
