Heard the news last night on TV. If it happens though, it will certainly be exciting to see AI and KG on the floor together.
Here's KG's take:

But, unfortunately Glen Taylor, owner of Wolves, has different opinion about the trade. That is so disheartening for us (Minny Fans).

I hope taylor just said that to calm the media frenzy, if he has plans to keep KG and keep ppl coming to target center then do it someway, if not then he should trade KG in the offseason.

if i had to guess AI will land in the west. man would love to have "the answer" playing along side our boy KG here in minny but that aint happening. wolves don't have the money or enough players available to make it happen. clippers sure look like a possibility and since it's a big market AI might actually wanna go there. money wise the clippers can make it happen as well if they combo livingston & maggette so it will be up to the 76ers to pull the trigger in that deal. livingston is up and coming PG with great potentials and maggette is a fearless scorer (if he can stay healthy). clippers will definitely come out the winner if this deal were to take place...i mean just thinking about it, brand & kaman in the front with veterans AI & cassell in the back court,and an underrated defensive player in ross as their 5 starters while you still have timmy thomas and mobley coming off the bench...that's gonna make clippers from pretenders to serious contenders...but by looking at the way this whole thing unfolded, i don't think the 76ers ownership would wanna do anything to help the cause of AI to get the championship ring. infact i wouldn't be surprise if the 76ers ship AI to the blazers! yup the portland trail blazers :p if the sixers want potentials i don't think there is any other team in the leage that has potentials like the blazers do. to match the money part of the deal might be difficult here but not impossible. there is a guy by the name of raef lafrentz in the blazers payroll making a ton of $$ (which i think comes off at the end of the year) combo him with one of your 1st round picks from this year either brandon roy(if i'm the sixers i want him) or 2nd overall pick this year lamarcus aldridge and if the $$ is still an issue, ship either miles or dixon as the part of the deal. and in this deal the sixers might come out the winner as they would send AI a bad situation considering blazers venue / relocation issues, zach randolph (this guy only plays when it times to get paid), and portland oregon isn't what you'd consider a big market....and in return the sixers are going to get a fine player and cap room which they are looking for rebuilding.

anyways above situations are fun to analyze but not very likey. when it's all said and done i believe AI will be playing for the memphis grizzlies in a deal that will send pau gasol & either uncle chucky or damon stoudamire..we might even see a 3rd team be involved in this deal as the sixer will be looking to land a good PG and ship chris webber as the PF would be played by gasol. so, this is the tread that makes sense to me the most....well we'll see how it plays out.

AI is not that cheap for a trade. I don't think any of the combinations you mentioned make up for a fair deal on the 76ers side. Two average players for AI.. come on. Maybe one Average player, one more than average player, and two first rounders. That's what it takes to get AI packing. I think Sports illustraded had a very good details about the teams that have the best chances to land AI and what they will have to afford for his services.

I don't think AI has a room in Boston. Lol. Wll we can always use PP (SF), AI (SG), Telfair (PG) in the back court. Looks good. Pack West/perkins/2 first rounders. Well Celtics management are known for making STUPID trades... so I don't see them landing AI in the Garden.

The best bet would be Clippers... but Maggette and Livingston is not enuf in value... so Clipps to need to add another expiring contract ... i don't know who that will... and 76ers need to cut some of their players in their roster to make room for the new guys so it's not easy..

Randy Foye and Davis isn't enuf value either... How about Celts giving away Wally, Telfair, expiring contract of theo ratliff???

Dallas is in ... Zen Master says don't discount the Lakers..... I hear Bobcats are in it as well now :=) Will AI3 listen to MJ??? Bobcats has most promising talents but how about the VALUE???

thanks AX bro for the stats again. looks like KG4MVP bro is back in the hunt! no blues in the stats sheet but no red either....so that's a good sign. as for me, 4th week in a row 6-3 victory...talk abt mr. consistent LOL

looks like AI is gonna go somewhere by the end of the day. and still no clear cut winner in this sweepstake. sure in the sixers perspective his trade value is going up in this bidding war but at the same time the bidders know that sixers have no choice but to ship him as this has become an ugly public affair. so you'll probably get all 29 teams trying to get in the deal but only very few teams will have anything significant to offer. i mean look at it this way, you can have teams like blazers or bobcats that can offer up future potentials in the form of draft picks but just adding AI in their team doesn't guarantee anything in the short term and they will be still be looking to rebuild around AI and who is to say AI's new team won't end up like in sixers situation. so most probably we'll see mediocre teams (ie nets, wizards,clippers, lakers, bulls, memphis (pending ownership might be an issue) offering a good players (ie jefferson, jamaison or butler, maggette, odom, hinrich or gordon, gasol) you add a good solid good player with a 1st round pick and then an expiring contract might be recipe to get this trade cooking.

teams that i'd hate to see AI go are the mavs and the heats...but can't count these 2 out.

Xcited about AI trade.....i guess we will get the answer by tonite....love to see him in MAVS uniform.....dallas has beeen struggling with a PG situation since Nash left....cuban is a phily guy ...so i think he'll do whatever he can..maybe trade devin harris and slew of draft choices...big D ...make... the move....
but the best place for him is Clippers or lakers...

6 weeks of action..but nothing more captivating than AI saga........lets predict for the following categories ..let's see who matches the most at the end of the year....here are my picks

EASTERN CONF. FINAL : heats vs. pistons
WESTERN CONF. FINAL: spurs vs. Mavs

Final : MAvs vs. pistons
Winner: MAVS

MVP: Carlos Boozer
Offensive player of the year : Carmelo Anthony
Defensive player of the year: emeka okafor
Most Improved player of the year : kevin martin
Sixth man of the year : Leandro Barbosa

Pls, Boozer was owned by KG on all ends when they played the wolves last time. If Nash can win 2 MVPs in a row and this yr his stats just keep getting better I don't see any reason not to give him the MVP. If Rockets are in good standings later on then Yao wouldn't be a bad choice either.

hey unknown 1 or 2 bad games would not rule him out for getting MVP..only concern is if he can stay healthy all year round...ya u'r right Nash can make 3 in a row..

i think it's a bit too early to really make an educated guess as to who will represent the east and the west in the finals. AI trade and other before the treading deadline will have huge impacts on them.

as for the individual awards here are my picks:

MVP: Nash (just because he's won 2 in a row doesn't mean he doesn't deserve the 3rd one, esp if the suns keep playing the way they do. no disrespect to boozer or yao but i beleive those 2 teams are gonna slow down.

Offensive player of the year : Carmelo Anthony (not much argument there)
Defensive player of the year: Bruce Bowen (just look at the stats of the player this guy defends after each game)
Most Improved player of the year : TJ Ford (if you've gone head to head with hoop2hoop you'd know what i mean)
Sixth man of the year: this is a tricky one because some guys used to be starters but now are coming off the bench, aka manu ginobili

oh hey what abt rookie of the year?? we've seen flashes of excellence from a few players but noone has been able to put those numbers on a consistent basis.
