All Nepalese, King of Nepal do not do good to Nepal. So seven political parties are the best for Nepal. Bahun must be the leader or ruler of Nepal. Do you think so?

Dreamz, You don't need a lot of strength to be an army officer but Rs. 600,000.00 (for second leutinant) when it was my time, under the table for those seniors officers. It doesn't matter how strong and skilled you are. And british didn't chose Brahmans for the armies because it was something they never did in the history, because of their sophisticated rituals and customs and also, they were performing better in other functions since they were good learners and clever. At that time when Gurungs and Chhetries were struggling to be a British Sipahi, brahmans were already skilled administrators, diplomats and involved in eduational professions. yea, I even know some economically deprived brahmans changing their lastnames to get into the army then. But they made it.

"I doubt there'll be genetic testing any time soon. Right now, all we have is historical/anthropological data" Magdalena, I just read somewhere that you are a pre-med student. You might wanna catch up with your readings(beyond just your course load). There's plenty of literature (journal articles)on latest bio-genetics and research. And, don't get too hung up on what you can't change! :P Good luck!

Magdalena, I didn't get your form of brahmanism. I don't believe in any ritualistic aspect of hinduism either. I just admire what I have been able to get from it. But let's drop this subject, shall we? It is gonna lead to nothing but Nazism.

Biogenetic testing in the western world, sure. Accurate genetic testing in Nepal (for anthropological purposes and not disease purposes), not quite. There's no info on that anywhere. Besides, you can't trust random sites on the internet with their 'genetic' information. ^_^ Can't write a genetics paper with internet sites as a source. Yea, that's pretty much how we are nepalisahila, not very interested in the ritualistic aspects of the religion or culture.

Good luck finding a book in any library of the world that has biogenetic analysis of the people of nepal. there is no such thing becuase this research has not been conducted in Nepal. the government has no funds to educate or even feed the people, i doubt they have the money for mass genetic testing. mero studies ko bare ma timlai ke peer. tara, really nice of you ^_-

Aren't we getting a little one dimensional here...Widen your readings in my take on things. As for your padhai, you make it your business to flash your Pre-Med status and its implications of superior intelligence (refer to the other thread) on a public site, it becomes public knowledge and therefore open to scrutiny. SAJHA 101! :)

Dear Dibya Raj Koirala ji, I got upset when you wrote…….. Gurung, Rai(Economically they are not so bad but they are JHGADALU…….. I assume you chose word JHGADALU, and generalized to every other gurung people which is not true. All koirala are not bad and we must not generalize especially when you speak or write in public. I would like to heartily accept your friendship hand.

Sitara, don't listen to Magdalena. Let me tell you something. I am no biologist, or for that matter an anthropologist. I like reading about people from all around the globe. Let me tell you, she knows jack schitt about genetic studies of Nepalis. Sure, it's true that you won't find studies of bahun/chhetri genes in scientific journals, but you *do* find studies of people like Tharus, Sherpas, etc. Sitara, I own a book by Cavalli-Svorza titled "The history and geography of human genes". It's about 400+ pages of information, and focuses mainly on human migration. He does not believe in the idea of "race", but he does believe that people can intermingle. Separating people by race is flawed, according to him, because there is no clearcut boundary to differentiate various races. Now what he does is he clusters people in terms of genes and the like. Now two Nepali groups are mentioned in the book. The first group he talks about is "Gurkhas"(I am assuming gurungs, rais, magars, etc). This group is close to South East Asians. The other group he mentions is Sherpas. Sherpas are closer to Northeast Asians like Japanese, Chinese, etc. Now even Tharus seem to be predominantly asian(not South Asian) if you go by their genes. Boatloads and boatloads of scientific studies have been done on tharus. Now what's obvious is that Magdalena is retarded. I don't want a retard performing brain surgeries on me, that's for sure.

I guess by her definition Askhenzai Jews aren't Jews anymore because they don't look middle-eastern anymore. Retarded, I tell you, plainly speaking. Ethnicity is just one aspect. Culture is another. Retard thinks that Nepali brahmins aren't brahmins because Indian brahmins don't accept us. Simple retort, really. Do Punjabi brahmins accept Tamil brahmins as one of their own? Lolzers. That's how Hinduism has always been. People marry within their own, but in order to prevent inbreeding, we have the Gotra system. A brahmin from one location would not marry a brahmin from another location. I don't accept "Indian brahmins" as brahmins either. Completely debunks her theory that true Hindus don't accept us. We don't either. I guess she's looking at her own family. Hey moron, you're not a brahmin anymore. You're a fuking pariah. Magdalena, you're a turdbrain.

If Indian brahmins are so pure, why do they have almost 50% proto-asian admixture? Plus, depending on location, they have various levels of australoid and mongoloid blood as well. Us Nepali brahmins hardly ever look australoid or dravidian. Sure, we might look mongoloid, but we don't look like straight-haired niggers that dhotis are. Also, in some places, Indian brahmins have African blood(ethiopian). These Africans are called Siddhis. Good god you retard, if Indians are so pure, then explain to me why some Indian brahmins have Siddhi blood. I have been reading online journals for ages now. I know what I've been talking about. This retard probably doesn't even know about PUBMED either.

arguing over the history of civilizations is one thing and could be objective. but some of you guys are now making it a matter of personal status in society and are attempting to quietly justify the authenticity of your race/caste, which is fundamentally so arbitrary and subjective. just one example: i was in a remote nepali district of Bhajang a few years ago and met a family with an interesting history... the King of Bhajang (they had their own kings until recently) once met a "brahmin" boy who was very good at playing drums, a profession traditionally held by one of the "lowest" castes... The King was so pleased with his skills that he pronounced that the boy should now belong to that caste... The family I met was only 2nd generation into the new caste the King assigned and was living a tough life, like most from the oppressed castes. now prove to me that your (or your grandfather's) caste/race (or whatever you call it) is authentic and your implied pride of it justifiable.

Dear thuggedout, Kashmiri pundits don't look 'austroloid' and so what if they are austroloid? Are you saying that mongolian blood is better than dravidian blood? Aren't you a bit racist. Don't use the word nigger, it's disgusting of you. That's just so sick. There's no research on the indo-aryan community of nepal. There's absolutely nothing on it (genetics). That's not how hinduism has always been, you moron. But clearly you're not a part of the kathmandu brahmin community. You'd have known by now that everyone's interelated by blood or marriage. Correct me if I"m wrong, but weren't you saying your khadka relatives had white skin and blue eyes? Khadka isn't a brahmin, or even a baun. I got called retarded by someone who uses the name nigger. People like you are disgusting. And echoes, I'm not 'proud' of being from an authentic brahmin family. In fact, I've always said that the true brahmins of nepal are inbred. Inbreeding is a bad thing. That's what I've been saying: If brahmin is the highest cast in nepal, either they're not real brahmins (and therefore not the highest caste), or they're inbred (and therefore genetically screwed) and that the caste system should NOT make brahmins, or bauns out to be the highest caste.

"Kashmiri pundits don't look 'austroloid' and so what if they are austroloid" Wait a second. You do realize that Kashmir never fell under what has been deemed "Aryan" India, do you? Their history is much more shrouded in mystery, just like ours. "But clearly you're not a part of the kathmandu brahmin community. You'd have known by now that everyone's interelated by blood or marriage" Uh, my mom's side of the family migrated to Ktm about 2 generations ago, while my dad's side migrated about three generations ago. Most brahmin community in Nepal probably migrated from outside as well, just like mine. Have you been to Kathmandu recently? The place is so damn dense now. Because of Maobadis, people have flocked on to Kathmandu in droves. "Correct me if I"m wrong, but weren't you saying your khadka relatives had white skin and blue eyes? Khadka isn't a brahmin, or even a baun. " You're wrong. I said Khadkas I know. "If brahmin is the highest cast in nepal, either they're not real brahmins (and therefore not the highest caste), or they're inbred (and therefore genetically screwed) and that the caste system should NOT make brahmins, or bauns out to be the highest caste" You make sweeping statements like these without really backing them up with research. If you wanna be taken seriously by me, you'll need to back up your inane assertions with good sources. I know bahuns in KTM tend to say that they're all related in Ktm, but that's such a load of BS. You see, bahuns have been streaming in KTM for ages now. The GOTRA system disallows marriage between people with same gotra, although one primary flaw is that it allows marriage with somebody who has mother's gotra. "If brahmin is the highest cast in nepal, either they're not real brahmins (and therefore not the highest caste), or they're inbred (and therefore genetically screwed" Jews are inbred too as well. Look at their IQ. On the flip side they have more genetic disease than everybody else, but look at their IQ. In Sri Lanka, there is a tribe that has practiced inbreeding for *decades*. Guess what has occured? They have almost *zero* genetic load. In other words, they are almost free of genetic diseases. The problem with you is that most of what you're saying are just opinions. I base mine mostly on facts(scientific journals). Bahuns from Gorkha are light-skineed you said. Oh really? Sources please. The only subjective thing I have said is the khadka part. Aside from that I can back my statements with sources if I choose to.

Another race-bashing thread. It may sound cliche but the ruler should be decided by qualities, not ethnicity. As if it needed to be reminded.
