f you think about the population of bauns - they only represent 10-12 % of the total population ( less than chhetris who are around 20%). Yet you see bauns occupying all govt positions and getting involved in corruptions. Majority of people caught by CIAA were bahuns. They not only extract money doing traditional work of worshiping and collecting daan(which only bauns are said to be doing) but have occupied all political positions too which the other casts have learnt to despise. We as chhetris grew up hearing politics is dirty. It may be true for other casts too. But not for bahuns because their forefathers were always involved in daan collecting business. So taking bribes is never dirty for them. I am reminded of the same situation many years ago when bauns occupied politics in Tamil Nadu. Then came the united non bauns as DMK (leaded by Ramachandran) with nothing else but basically just anti baun slogans and have made the bauns vanish now. The DMK has been winning for several years now just on the basis of anti baun rallying. One day Nepal may see the same change and the country may be purified of all the poisons harming Nepal.

I think defn of brahmin (bahun) help to solve this conflict Peace chakrapani A Brahmin is a member of a priestly section of Hindu society. The Hindu community has been divided into four transient sections (varnas) : Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra based on occupation. The Brahmins are believed to be responsible for society's spiritual progress. A person born into a Brahmin/Kshatriya/Vaishya family becomes twice-born (dvija) when he undergoes upanayana, initiation into Vedic education. The caste system was transient until social stagnation made it intransient by segregating Hindus into four castes based on birth. The Vedas clearly state that the castes are based on occupation and virtues of people. Vishwamitra, a Kashtriya (as he was a ruler), became a Brahmin after doing Tapas (pennance) and achieving Brahma Gyana (Knowledge of God). Valmiki, originally a thief, later, came to be regarded as a Brahmin when he became an ascetic and studied the Vedas. The 'Nirukta' of 'Yask' says "Brahmam Janati eti Brahmanam" meaning a person who knows Brahman is a Brahmin. Some texts refer to Brahma to mean Vedas. Some texts refer to Brahman as the creator of the universe as we know it. Some verses also refer to the transcendent and immanent supreme soul as "Brahman". Brahman is different from Brahmana (or brahmin). Brahman means God and Brahmana (or Brahmin) means knower of God.

As if one thread was not enough, people have opened another thread for "bahuns".... I think this sentence pretty well applies to Brahmins, "love em', hate em'; but you certainly can't ignore them".... When you hate someone, you should learn to ignore them... By opening topics for "bahuns", you people are giving a lot of importance to a group that you supposedly *can't stand*...... If I were you, i would not even care about their existence, let alone opening threads and dedicating hours of my days for them....

hare ram hare krishna..................what the world is coming to? i was looking forward to nice summer break but .........it's looks like not. why are you guys fightin over ourselves? why are everybody sooooooooo racist ? quit blaming the bahuns people. we ought to look at ourselves and think for a moment what did other caste did for nepal that can be glorified or whatever that is beneficial to the nation. bahuns run the country but didn't do a good job. newars run the business sector but they don't seems to mingle with other ethnic races Gurkhali (Rai, Limbu, Gurung, Magar & Tamang) seems too busy joining foreign armed forces that they simply forgot about duties to motherland and now we new generations doing nothing about Nepal but arguing and pointing fingers to one another who is to blame. common people. wake up! what the fcuk is this? i am sooooo ashmed to call myself nepali.

I agree so far bahuns have been the most racist ppl in Nepal.they have the most opportunity thats why they are in control everywhere..tara that was the old generation.Nepali ppl r changing. hell yeah i hate racist ppl..and I'll talk smack about them all day everyday..but there are us who don't believe in that bullshit...what is this tho? Two wrongs don't make a right...we should all be bashing indians not each other...Tell me which Bahun did you wrong I'll go beat his ass...everybody else is just trying to live...not concerned with ur race..just who u r...if u support racism against any Nepali than you can eat a fat one...come talk to me i'll set u straight...I'm sick of stupid ignorant ppl spreading hate....
