It is widely proven how social media is playing such a vital role in today’s world. In the recent Indian election, Narendra Modi’s biggest strategy was to use the best of the social network and media. Everyday people all over India and outside India were flooded with messages on their Twitter, Whatsapp, Viber, Facebook or any other local IM apps. It surely has saved a lot of campaign cost and the messages were pretty effective as it was very personal. For people who think facebook and twitters are for selfies, this is something they need to learn.

One of the catchiest thing of the election was the tagline Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) was using, “ Iss Barr Modi Sarkar”. It somehow became the young crowd’s favorite, 150 million first time voters ( ironically the target group for Congress India). The BJP has defeated Congress I with such humongous difference that suddenly the world is asking how and what next.

Born in a grocer family, Modi is the third among four children who had worked at a tea stall from the age of 6. A follower of Vivekanda and highly inspired by the lifestyle of Sadhu’s in India, Modi has branded himself as a very different breed of political leaders. His biggest political turn was when he shifted the Tata Nano Motors’ plant fromWest Bengal to Gujrat and boasted the economy and became one of the strongest PM candidates from BJP. A political leader who sleeps 3 hours a day and is a workaholic might change the face of the country in a better and effective way.

Indian Media is telecasting 24/7 what Modi is doing, where is he going, who is he meeting. Obviously since he is going to be the 15th Prime Minister of India and now what he had promised in last couple of months, will be fulfilled on not. On the other side, our very own PM Mr. Sushil Koirala has reached his 100 day without doing anything as a PM. Maybe personally he had acquired something that we are not aware of, but if we see the track record, nothing substantial we can see in his 100 days.

When there is a big controversy going on, with the visit of the PM of Pakistan Mian Nawaz Sarif attending the oath taking ceremony of Mr. Modi on Monday, the not invited PM of Nepal is eager to leave for Delhi. I am glad that in 100 days this is the first good decision that Sushil Baa has taken. Maybe if he gives his attendance at Delhi, Modi Sarkar might give us the closest sea link or India decided to make all the arrangements for the Hydro Power and even buy it from us when we start producing. I don’t even mind if they have a similar understanding as India and Bhutan has.

Anyway, we got to wait and watch what the Modi Sarkar will do with its targeted group, that is the youth and the middle class, which the Congress has ignored in its agenda until the elections. Modi has promised a safer city for women and a better economical support to the marginal, it is easier said than done, hope that Modi Sarkar is a good surprise for Nepali people ( I don’t care what happens to the government, I just want a better policy for the people) because “ Hami le jatti furti lagayepani….Bharat ma pani parda, Nepal ma Chata odnu parcha”

Hope for the best and friendlier attitude to Nepal. May be Maoist are afraid of re-stating Kingship?

Mr. Modi had clearly stated that they are not going to change the international policy the Congress I has created....so I guess Kingship is out of the agenda :)

Well, at this point, we have to wait and see if Modi delivers.

One correction to your writing though.Sushil da being PM is the head of gov. of Nepal. Therefore, he is invited.

Times Of India --Nirmala Sitharaman, from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), said all heads of government from the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) "have been given invitations to be present at Modi's swearing in."

Alas, if only Sushil Koirala had the same energy and drive as Modi!  Besides the silver beard and a supposedly humble lifestyle, Narendra bhai and Sushil da don't have too much else in common ;)  Koirala can put a crowd to sleep in the same five minutes that Modi can rouse them.  Not so much because of his speech defect but his lack of passion and vision that fail to inspire even the most die-hard among his supporters . Not to mention his perpetually low personal energy levels. If there is one thing Koirala gains from visiting India, I hope it is energy -  hydro but more importantly good old fashioned sugar and carb energy :)

So you guys are counting on one man to change 1 289 595 161 persons in India?

Good luck with that. You will need a lot of that. And that lone man is not even a dictator.

'Saw this headline today:

#Elections2014: #NarendraModi creates more Social buzz than #Messi, #FIFAWorldCup

My opinion :
India needs to get really really serious about controlling its population growth. Having abundant internet access to such a huge mass of its population is not bad though.

Just one qoute: - Be scared of 100 tigers led by a sheep than 100 sheep led by a tiger......some anonymous said it....
We dont need dictator to change a country but a true leader.....no matter wat the population is
This is not about the issue of Indian population.....:)

A leader in a military might have a good vision for the development.
we tried and trusted all the political freaky leaders and every times our expectation is scattered and we civilians are in a complete pain.
Correct me if I am wrong. :)

1. Will Modi increase the subsidy to farmers or not ?

India has record harvest for last two years he may not incrrese the subsidy--Nepali farmers are relatively sfe
Many Indian farmers are committing suicide because they cant pay bank loan--Modi may Increase the subsidy to those--Nepal be careful Increase in subsidy means their agricultural products will be cheaper than Nepali agricultural products

In such case , what to do ?

Nepal government should match the subsidy provided to Indian farmers to Nepali farmers so that our product will be competitive--But is our government ready?

2. There will be lots pf incentive to Industries to India so chances of more industry start up-

In such case

Positive effect to Nepal

1,. There will be high demand for energy so hydro power investment will be lucrative-Chance of FDI in Nepal will be higher--but is government is doing its HW for such scenario ?

2. More jobs created in India means less Indians to Gulf countries--chances for Nepali workers

3. Indians will be richer--means some increase in Indian tourist in Nepal.--business opportunity

4.Hopefully those industries will also use cheap Nepali labors--Increase demand for non skilled workers

Bad effective

1. lots of Nepali Industries need to compete with Indian industries--very difficult to survive --they need either subsidy or higher tariff for Indian goods (India will complain) how Nepal will react- Is govet doing its HW?
2. Lots of New products in India means lot more import--problem with trade balance?

To escape from all those situation what nepal need to do

Invest in Hydropower in transmission line every year 100 billion Nepali Rs--start building it in five years time we have lots of hydro power

Provide all Nepalese 300 units (300KWH/ hr ) of electricity for 400 rs . If they do this cooking food in electricity will be cheaper than in gas so import of Indian gas will be reduced dramatically.
At present I think government is subsidizing almost 900 Rs per gas cylinder instead produce electricity and subsidized Nepali product (electricity).

Government need to act fast

start different project that will produce 6000Mw of electricity in 5 yrs
subsidized that electricity and provide them for Nepalis. all Nepalis will use electricity instead of gas
Nepal can invest 100 billion rs per yr (government, ppl, bank and foreign aid)

Local ppl who woked in hydro power construction can be paid half (if they agree) and half of their salary can be converted into their investment.or equivqlent of free elctricity when the project is complete. Or they cam consider it loan to government which government will pay later on with interest.
This is when they need money

That is what I think, and i think its the only way out for Nepal Nepal will never be out of its misery otherwise.
conservative thinking wont work.traditional way of thinking failed. need to think new model of development-are we flexible enough?

_______ ,
Your response to my thread is commendable....being conservaltive and dependable never works in the long run.....Nepali govt needs to know their strength and negotiate with it..... But unfortunately Sushil Baa looks pretty lost already

.jo jasto chha testai accept garne ...sakena bhane ignore garne simple.....

that's what most of the people having this kind of view from the country Nepal has been doing.

They are accepting the corrupt politicians and simply ignoring the current miserable condition of the country..
