Palpali_gaule,
What a state of nirvana you are in?Does happiness end suffering?Agree it does but isn't happiness temporary? And you admit you are still suffering( i'm happier suffering.... (;-D) -P_G)
So it is really not the end of suffering.

what i meant was that the only end to suffering is death and, considering THAT, i'm happier suffering, because at least i'm still living! and as you said, happiness is temporary, so is suffering....it's all a state of mind, mero sathi.

Awwwww my favourite quote...:)

Most people think,
Great God will come from the skies,
Take away everything
And make everybody feel high.
But if you know what life is worth,
You will look for yours on earth:
And now you see the light,
You stand up for your rights.

Hey iZen:

I am glad that you brought the matter of suffering. To tell you the truth, pal, everyone is suffering. The point is someone exhibits his suffering, and someone just hide it under that illusive smile.

From my personal experience, I try my best to transform my sufferings into creating outcome and force rather than being bitter with myself. I wish happiness end suffering- I wish it is as easy as it sound!!! I think try to make a virtue of your suffering is the ultimate solution of suffering....

Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you gonna get...!!!

That's all I have to say about that....

Signing off
HD

P_G,
" happiness is temporary, so is suffering....it's all a state of mind, mero sathi. "
What about eternal joy or Nirvana or an absolute void(the state of nothingness)?
Are they temporary?

U see, we know quite well, deep within us, that there is only a single magic, a single power, a single salvation...and that is called loving... Well, then, love your suffering. Do not resist it, do not flee from it. It is your aversion that hurts, nothing else. If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment. But there is suffering in life, and there are defeats. No one can avoid them. It's better to lose some of the battles in the struggles for your dreams than to be defeated without ever knowing what you're fighting for.
We do discover meaning in life in three different ways: (1) by doing a deed; (2) by experiencing a value; and (3) by suffering. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

In ancient times Buddha had to leave everything and go to the jungle in search of answers. Today, the present day buddha doesn't have to go anywhere. All he has to do is GOOGLE for all the answers!

LOL@Nirman...hehe bichara...:D

Life is what you make of it.The point of life is to be happy, and bring happiness to others. Its to do what you think is right, now, while you are still alive. Help others, find love, share love. Never ever take anything for granted. And most importantly, find happiness in the simplist things and be able to laugh at everything...:D

It seems like we all are confused, then my motto is- if we are not confused, then we are not thinking clearly.
