In the year 2008, he mentions, this was the first year he went nowhere for trekking - this confirms that he was in emotional distress and going through legal battle with Sita, in which he lost his retuirement fund and savings.

Tom Sewell, a 50 years old American trekker and a climber, used to work seasonally, "rich people house painting" business in the old
fancy part of Dallas Texas where he grew up. A "Peakaholic" by nature completed his 500th peak in summer of 2009. Everypeack he has reached he leaves a one nepali
rupee bill in the register of peaks.

In 2000, he reached Kala Patthar, foothills of Everest. While returning back to the US he married Sita Pariyar from Mahat Gouda, Pokhara by making a dulplicate passport, increasing her age (a common thing in Nepal). Tim had told Sita of his obsession of making 500 peaks before he turned 50, which Sita had a bet with him (he won). Tim got Sita a Fiancee visa.

Technically Sita should have gotten her citizenship in 2005 (as it takes 5 years) had they married. But things started getting bad between then starting 2004 (if they were married) OR Tom never married her and never applied. 

Tom introduced Sita to nude stripped club, where Tom took Sita to attend a friends party at The Clubhouse Texas.
