More reading at: - http://www.kantipuronline.com/nepali/kolnews.php?&nid=41509

Hancyguy: So you would rather hear kind words from someone, but someone who will stab you at your back. YOu know who I am talking about. So you are glad you got a chance to pursue your PhD just because post 90s movement gave you the opportunity. Oh I hear form you that we (nepalese people) made significant progress after 90s. But I beg to differ. For one we have to kneel down in front of India. Our own lives are remotely controlled by foreigners. We have a Mao problem. 70 out of 75 districts are affected by that problems. We got 12,000 brothers killed. We got half a million brothers working in Middle East who would have otherwise enjoyed working back home. So what the hell went wrong? These are all created by our dear leaders. In the era of Multiparty democracy, you cannot dare to go back to village. Villagers are dieing because they cannot get basic needs. Unemployment is rampant. What we need right now is strong leadership who can lead us with the balance of democracy and national economy. It aint gonna work as long as we pursue the same failed theory. May be you help us explain that with your PhD.

?MONARCHY AND ITS RELEVANCE?

Pilot: You too make me laugh, bro unless you are one of those elite family members who have no concerns for ordinary folks back home . You have no idea how cheaply we have been sold. The last 12 yrs have made us so pathetic that we dont have any clear agenda for foreign policy. Classic example is Bhutanese refugee. Look at how they beat us and fooled us for the last 12 yrs. That is because our dear leaders have to kiss Indian AS-S all the time instead of focusing on what our nation needs. At least this guy has a guts to stand up for something. He is not sold so cheaply. He knows how to negotiate. He plays game very well. Lets give this guy an opportunity to prove himself. If not then we might as well invite India to rule directly or some sort of arrangement like Bhutan.

Manisha Koirala (alcoholic and who changes more boyfriends than underwear) backs Nepal king, Royal coup Wednesday June 01 2005 14:54:52 PM BDT Sudeshna Sarkar, Indo-Asian News Service Kathmandu, May 31, 2005:Nepalese beauty and Bollywood star Manisha Koirala has publicly supported Nepal?s King Gyanendra and his February coup. In a front-page interview Tuesday in the Rising Nepal daily, the mouthpiece of the government, Manisha lashed out at the political parties as well as the Nepali Congress for pulling up her father, Prakash Koirala. Her father was earlier this month expelled by his Nepali Congress party for a year for supporting the king. ?Our beloved and respected king had to take the step to stop anarchy,? she was quoted as saying, referring to the royal takeover. - http://www.bangladesh-web.com/news/view.php?hidDate=2005-06-02&hidType=RIN&hidRecord=0000000000000000046928

Pilot: If you cannot make a choice better choice between Girja and Gyane, then I doubt your intelligence. Either you have been out of country for so long and you are not well informed or you come from well to do family who have no concerns for other fellowmen. I was in Nepal few weeks ago and everybody that I talked to blame all this fiasco to Girja baje. He is being blamed for Bhutanese problem, Mao problem and ultimately leading to present situation. You are telling me we have done better economically in the post 90s. Please give me a break. Talk to anybody in tourism sector, carpet industry, and garment and any other industries. They will gladly tell you that we have lost hundreds of thousands of jobs which has led many people to search for work overseas. The only thing we have seen mushrooming is Casinos, Tobaccos, and Alcohol and Corruption Industries. Oh I forgot to mention that we have prospered in terms of Chakka Jam, Nepal Bandh, Strikes and destroying Public Properties during such events and etc. I was reading KTM Post and the editor wrote about Girja suggesting that longer he presides over Politics, worst it gets for Nepali Congress and the country as a whole. So he suggested Girja to retire honorarily and give younger leaders a chance to step in so that there can be smooth transition and better leaders for the future. But I doubt if that will happen even if he reaches 85. There is no democracy even within Nepali Congress Party. Girja controls everything. I know for sure Parties leaders will never give chances to minorities to hold post. They will always use system to their advantages. Isn't that what is troubling our country right now?

Pilot: You brought that quote from the online. It is a good reminder of what any leaders need to do. The only problem is nobody did their job responsibly starting with Girja, Makune, Deuba and so on. Had they done this in first place, we would have never seen the problem like we have. We are pretty much a failed state. I wish leaders have respected the law and cared for people. Tell me one neta who have fulfilled their deed delegantly. I am neither a fan of King G or any leaders. All I am saying is we need peace. We have failed with so called every good leader there is. So why not give a chance to this guy. Why follow the same process if it failed us so many times?

Dear Gyane, I am sure you will be quite surprised when you trip over this unsolicited missive, its dog-eared carrier peeking cheeky under a weighty pile of brown-nosed felicitations, invitations, and exhortations awaiting the attention of an ebony letter opener. As you lean forward, inexplicably piqued, and draw that insolent triangle out into an envelope postmarked London, an advisor may step forward nervously and attempt to distract you from what is so obviously a slip-up. I trust you will wave him away irritably and take the time to cup an ear to a far-flung yet most concerned subject, albeit one who believes the concept of royalty to be as antiquated and irrelevant as papyrus scrolls, quills, and Remington typewriters. Forgive me thus when I address you in so cavalier a manner. But what of it? It may be overly familiar, but surely less so than being dragged out of bed in blackest night to end up broken and bled to death in the forests you grew up in. This is no irrelevant irreverency. Things have gotten so bad I think we can dispense with such niceties as protocol. Even if you did believe as a cosseted stripling at Eton that Nehru was below you. For what I am about to say I could only say to a friend in all honesty, in the hope of common redemption. How could you relate to me if I were a hole in the ground? So, Gyane, please don?t take it amiss. I mean no disrespect. Besides, for heaven?s sake, isn?t it about time we all came to terms with the myth of the God-King? You may never think of me as an equal. Old habits, I know. But we?re all the same anyhow. We all eat, shit, sleep and one day, stop. I?ve been told you smoke your cigarettes like a true bhumiputra, fisted fingers funnelling death. And royal mortality has proven to be somewhat more sharply defined than the average, wouldn?t you say? I don?t mean to be insensitive. We were all deeply shocked by what happened four years ago. The mass mundans were clear indication of national trauma. Though why all those men ? those who volunteered to flag their grief ? held your brother in such affection is beyond me. He was, at best, a benevolent fool. But you knew this already. Undoubtedly it hurt you to be the bereaved and the accused. But there was no one else for the masses to blame, given the unsatisfactorily explained events of June 1, 2001. Where, indeed, was the Royal Nepalese Army when you actually needed them? - http://samudaya.org/articles/archives/2005/05/a_letter_to_gya.php#c1637
