I was shocked to see the comments left by many Americans on the CNN's page. The comments are on the bottom of the CNN page. http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/02/world/cnnheroes-show/index.html?hpt=hp_c2 Now I know most Americans don't like Nepalese.

  • NO WAY this guy is not Nepali. He is definitely a Nepali in disguise. I can tell by his English and the way he talks, typical rude argument with no sarcasm whatsoever!

Raj, you are so shameless person. Nepalese Government runs on foreign AIDs, mostly from western countries.
If these AIDs were to be LOANs like the US has these days. Nepal would have accumulated 100 times more DEBT than the US currently has. Forget about you and your children's generation, even your next 10 generations won't be able to pay that debt. Shameless bastaaard !

I have seen lots of Nepalese living in the US and I hear that around 50 thousand Nepalese live in the Dallas, Texas area alone. I think those Nepalese who left their country should be ashamed of themselves. Nepal is still one of the poorest in the world and has so much natural beauty and water resources but unfortunately the country is so out of luck that its people are selfish and greedy.
It's so laughable when I hear the Nepalese talk about Mt. Everest and Lord Buddha and how they are proud to be Nepalese just because Everest lies in their country and the place where Buddha was born is now inside Nepalese territory. Shameless Nepalese.

May be that's why Nepal is still one of the poorest among the poor countries in the world where nature has given so much to this country but still they don't get the idea of how to be the best in this world by doing something.

Instead Nepalese blame on their political leaders and use that as an excuse to get out of the country to live in the USA. Shame on you all Nepalese who are living in the US.

I read only one post (second one in your list) from this guy and immediately I concluded the same. Nobody outside of Nepal would make that kind of comment.

I wish to echo what others have already said. Unfortunately, some sojho sajhos fell for it and went on to justify the country's situation and what not.

This reminds me of a movie about a young Jewish fella in NYC who targets fellow Jews, beating and hating on them for being Jewish!

I agree this guy could be a Nepali. BUT the comment has got 95 THUMBs UPs. The Highest number of Thumbs ups among all. Are you saying that those who gave him Thumbs Ups are all Nepalese ? No Way. They must be mostly Americans, right ? I think lots of people (Mostly Americans) agree with the things Todd Barton has said in that comment. May Todd Baron is from Europe Or from other countries. But the things he has said in those comments really is true.

- Todd Barton must be some pathetic disguised SOB working for some Call Centers pretending to be an American , big time troll. He's got discriminatory indian attitude.

- Brians' words have some truth. To some extent, Nepalese live like mexicans, acts mannerless hoodlums in gatherings. But this redneck needs to get some deep lesson on American history , probably he's high on marijuana or some sh-it- like that all time otherwise, by this time he'd have known that his forefathers stepped into this country but immigrants built it.

-Fern is right, am another version of 'rakesh dangol' or as per my sajha buddy Vasu's word I'm 'Type 2' Nepalese. But when time needs, I don't see any borders/color/religion , I'd be in the front to help if needed. But seems like this 'dangol' is another trash mouth trashing all time about his own people and country. Do I do that? No , at least I don't do that in front of non-Nepalese.

And I totally agree with this comment by Judith. The only reason I didn't vote for her/or anyone was because that would have been unfair for other good souls out there in line. They all deserve the same respect/help as  whoever was winner. They're great philanthropists in their own field. Why only 1 person out of those all good samaritans? There should not be any comparison on how good hearted you are to others.

At last, when I followed through other comments by Nepalese, it's combative and childish, that made me ashamed being one of em. Why can't they simply STFU?

:::Peace :::

i usually don't like to get in the arguments on the internet where someone claims to be a patriot and is bashing the opponent's country calling names and what not. I feel sorry for people arguing where Buddha was born or where mount Everest is. Sure thing, it is a matter of pride but what we Nepalese do is always try to bring these two things up no matter what or where.
The guy in one of the comments has a valid point, Nepalese people did not build Mt. Everest and yeah Buddha was born here but that's just some co-incidence. We can not always take these two factors and (maybe "Gurkhas" being the third one) and keep on arguing with people we've never seen or met.  Well, I guess my point is what if Mt. Everest wasn't in Nepal or Buddha wasn't born in Nepal, what would you say? So stop being arrogant and argue with valid points.
and BTW the Nepalese guy acting American said, "nepalese are poor"  well from what i see Nepalese are rich but Nepal is poor.
