Hello All,

I am planning to petition my spouse for a marriage based green card. I am on complete dilemma whether to file the form I130 by myself or work with the lawyer using his/her expertise. I would appreciate if any one of you could share your experience on this situation. Any advise from you all will be highly appreciated.

Any complicated case? Or It’s just clear case? Well if you don’t have any complicated HX with USCIS then just go and file I-130. I think waiting period would be around 2 years from the priority date if you don’t get whole lot of RFE.. GL

Thanks Rockb & Chicagoan for your valuable suggestion. Just registered our marriage in the court house last month and now I am in US starting the process. Looks like I will do the paper work by myself. Once again thank you all.
